Remembrance Poppy making
In nursery on Monday we listened to the story ‘A day to remember’, and found out lots about Remembrance Day. We enjoyed making poppies with paint and loose parts. The children looked closely at the photographs to help them. We made poppy biscuits. We carefully used a knife to spread the icing. They tasted yummy!
After listening to the story ‘Sparks in the sky’, the nursery children have experimented with lots of different ways to make a firework picture. We used loose parts, paint and sand. The children used shapes to make rocket fireworks and made a yummy sparkler to eat. We watched fireworks on the whiteboard and ended the week with a firework dance. We had lots of fun!
