Spelling Bee
This year it was Valley Roads turn to host the Iris Learning Trust annual Spelling Bee. Out year 6 pupils were fantastic role models and worked incredibly hard as a team to complete in different spelling games, races and puzzles. A huge well done to team Valley Road, who I am pleased to say won this years competition. What incredible spellers we have in Year 6. Well done team VR!
Anthony Patterson Visit
Year 6 were lucky enough to meet with Sunderland goalkeeper Anthony Patterson. The children had an opportunity to interview him and some grabbed the chance to take a penalty against the local star.
