GET OUT, STAY OUR OUT AND CALL THE FIRE BRIGADE!
The best part of the afternoon was using the water hose!
Rock Buns
In Literacy this week, we followed a recipe and made our own rock buns, just like the ones that would have been made in Pudding Lane, in 1666. We carefully measured out the ingredients, mixed the dough and baked them in the oven. We talked about what we were doing using time words and imperative verbs. The best part was trying them! Watch out for our instructions to match.
Anti-Bullying Week
This week is ‘Anti-Bullying Week’ and the theme is ‘Make A Noise About Bullying’. We have enjoyed dressing up in dots and making some fantastic anti-bullying posters.
War Memorial Visit
Year Two, visited the war memorial in Mowbray Park, to lay a wreath, on behalf of Valley Road, for Remembrance Day. In class, we read the story ‘The Last Poppy’ it reminded us of all of the soldiers that risked their lives to protect our country and the soldiers who are still serving in the armed forces today.
